RTN's Board & Train program provides an immersive dog training experience for families looking for more intensive, consistent training. Your dog lives and trains with our professional team at our 8,000 sq. ft. facility in Auburn, where training is incorporated into a structured daily routine.
Rather than simply teaching commands, we work to build reliable obedience, better manners and real-world skills that can carry over into your home. Throughout the program, your dog receives structured training, socialization, guided play and consistent reinforcement from our training team.
Every Board & Train program is customized to your dog's individual needs, temperament and your family's training goals.

Board & Train starts at $3,200 for 4 weeks. Exact pricing is determined after your dog's evaluation based on their individual needs, training goals and recommended length of stay. Payment plans are available.
Your program also includes a 2-hour go-home session and two follow-up in-home visits at no additional cost, providing you with the support you need to maintain your dog's training after they return home.
Your dog follows a structured daily routine designed to balance training, socialization, guided play, rest and individual attention.
Throughout the day, your dog works with our professional trainers on obedience and other skills identified during their evaluation. Training is reinforced throughout the day rather than being limited to one short training session.
Dogs also receive structured socialization and guided play, along with appropriate rest periods. Our goal is to create an environment where your dog can learn without becoming overwhelmed or overstimulated.
Early training can help establish good habits before unwanted behaviors become ingrained. Depending on the puppy, training may focus on basic obedience, manners, confidence, socialization, impulse control and appropriate behaviors around people and other dogs.
Because puppies have different developmental and socialization needs than adult dogs, we evaluate each puppy individually before determining whether Board & Train is the right program.
Yes. We work with many dogs that need more than basic obedience training, including dogs struggling with manners, impulse control, reactivity, overstimulation, confidence or other behavioral challenges.
Every dog is evaluated individually so we can determine the safest and most appropriate training approach. Depending on the behavior and severity of the issue, we may recommend Board & Train, private training, custom training or another program.
Our goal is to address the underlying behavior while teaching your dog more reliable skills and giving you the tools to continue that progress at home.
Not every behavioral issue is appropriate for Board & Train, which is why the evaluation is an important first step.
Training doesn't end when your dog leaves RTN. Every Board & Train program includes a 2-hour go-home session where one of our trainers works with you and your dog to explain what was learned and, most importantly, how you can maintain those behaviors at home.
You'll learn how to give commands, reinforce the behaviors your dog has learned and incorporate the training into your everyday routine.
We want you to leave that session feeling confident—not wondering what you're supposed to do next.
Yes. Two follow-up in-home visits are included with every Board & Train program at no additional cost — a $240 value.
These visits allow our trainers to see your dog in their home environment, answer questions, help address challenges that may arise after returning home and reinforce the training you've learned during your go-home session.
We believe the transition from our facility back into your home is an important part of the training process. Our goal is to help make the results sustainable long after your dog's Board & Train stay is over.
We'll provide you with a list of everything your dog needs for their Board & Train stay when you schedule your program.
Generally, you'll want to provide your dog's food, medications if applicable, and any items or information our team specifically requests. We recommend keeping personal belongings to a minimum so our team can focus on your dog's training and care.
Before your dog's arrival, we'll also make sure we have the necessary vaccination records and any important information about your dog's routine, behavior, dietary needs or medications.
If your dog has specific food, medication or care requirements, please let our team know during the evaluation so we can make appropriate arrangements.
Every Board & Train program begins with an evaluation. We'll meet your dog, discuss your goals and help determine whether Board & Train is the right fit.
